(Finance) – The Ministry of Tourism has published a first tender, with a budget of 4.6 million euros, for the financing of highly qualifying professional training projects in the tourism sector. The publication of a second call for higher education is expected by the end of the year.
The resources of the tender, from the Fund to increase the professional level of tourism, are divided into: 3.84 million euros for the financing of the project for specialized training courses in tourist services structured in modules lasting a minimum of 40 hours and a maximum of 260 hours, also available online, in-person sessions and field internships, webinars and seminars; over 757 thousand euros for the financing of projects for excellent training courses in tourist services lasting between 400 and 500 hours, which can be delivered in hybrid mode and with at least part of the course being residential.
The beneficiaries of the financingpaid on a non-repayable basis, are the state and non-state university institutions, as well as the training institutes and bodies authorized and accredited by the Ministry of University and Research and/or by the Ministry of Education and Merit, based in national territory as well as recognized as institutions operating in the training sector at national, European and international level.
It will be a rewarding criterion collaboration with business associations and the companies themselves who will be able to make use of the trained learners.
The contribution is aimed at financing the training activity as part of an educational cycle lasting a maximum of one year. The deadline to participate in the announcement is 12:00 on November 22, 2024.
