President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan says that Syrian forces were behind the terrorist attack in the country’s capital, Ankara, on Wednesday.
At the same time, the Turkish president says that the country will continue to root out terrorism in its source country, Syria.
More than twenty civilians have been killed in Turkey’s attacks on the Syrian side, says the organization that follows the Syrian war. According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, at least 27 civilians have been killed in Turkish airstrikes.
Erdoğan, who participated in the meeting of the BRICS organization in Kazan, says that he asked Russian President Vladimir Putin for help in restoring relations between Turkey and Syria.
