On Friday afternoon, a dog on the loose caused a car crash and a traffic stop at the Västberga interchange in Stockholm.
The dog has been located in a wooded area, and the police are now working with the dog’s owner to capture it.
Several vehicles had to give way when the dog came running on Essingeleden in Stockholm.
– We have a loose dog that ran from small Essingen to Västberga, it ran in the opposite direction of traffic, says Katarina Wollfram, press communicator Trafikverket.
Two vehicles have collided with each other in their attempts to avoid hitting the dog, and two people have been taken to hospital. The extent of the damage is unclear.
Dog located
The dog and the accident had a major impact on traffic, and there was an early stop in the northbound direction.
– There will be queues immediately. I assume that many will choose another path, says Katarina Wollfram.
At three o’clock on Saturday afternoon, the police announced that they located the dog in a wooded area. The police and the dog’s owner are now working to capture it.
The dog is said to be stressed, and in order not to stress it further, the police have chosen not to say exactly where the forest area where the dog was located is located.
