In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns to the big screen one last time as Eddie Brock. The third part of the Marvel trilogy is intended to end the story as a grand finale. As soon as the credits roll, it becomes clear that we are only at the beginning of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU for short).
There are two post-credit scenes at the end of Venom: The Last Dance, the first of which is a mid-credit scene that begins as soon as the most important names have been mentioned in the credits. This prospect in particular should be very exciting for Marvel fans. He gives that future direction of the SSU before.
Be careful, follow it spoiler to Venom: The Last Dance!
Venom 3’s first post-credit scene sets up Knull’s arrival in the Spider-Man universe
In the prologue of Venom: The Last Dance we get to know Knull (Andy Serkis), the SSU’s biggest villain. Knull is the creator of the symbiotes and were bound to his throne on the planet Klyntar by his own children. Only with a mysterious code can he escape this space prison.
So Knull sends his henchmen to retrieve the codex, which shifts the action to Earth. Eddie and Co. finally manage to destroy the key to Knull’s prison. The first post-credit scene of the film follows exactly this point: The villain still sits on his throne.
Basically nothing has changed for Knull. Nevertheless, he insists on revenge with threatening words and promises to simply destroy all worlds. The short scene is very reminiscent of like Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe came a little closer to Earth with every post-credit scene. Apparently the SSU is pursuing the same tactics.
The big question is: Where will Knull appear next if the Venom films have actually concluded with The Last Dance? The next film at SSU is Kraven the Hunter, which will be released on December 12, 2024 opens in German cinemas and features the screen debut of the hunter played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Since Kraven the Hunter has so far presented itself as more of a grounded action thriller, it is questionable whether Knull fits into the film. One another post-credit scene but it would definitely be conceivable. After that, Sony has not yet announced any further concrete plans to expand the SSU. In addition to Venom, this is populated by Madame Web and Morbius.
However, Knull’s great promise of world destruction suggests that we are far from reaching the end of the story. Rather, it looks like Venom: The Last Dance and Kraven the Hunter will End of Phase 1 of the SSU mark. Now we can be curious to see what Sony has come up with for Phase 2.
The second post-credit scene gives a hint as to whether Venom survived the end of the film despite the acid bath
To defeat Knull, Venom ends up sacrificing himself and entering an acid bath. This is the only way to destroy the code. But wait, is Venom really dead? From now on, does Eddie Brock have to go completely alone without his slimy half? The second post-credit scene suggests that Venom may have survived.
In the very last seconds of the film, the bartender played by Ted Lasso star Cristo Fernández makes his way out of the rubble of Area 55 and once again shakes his head in disbelief. The camera draws our attention to a cockroach that is on a broken symbiote container moved towards.
It is unclear whether there is still a piece of extraterrestrial goo inside. But the possibility definitely exists. Maybe Venom was before a sample was takenwhich now straps itself to the cockroach’s back. This means that Tom Hardy’s anti-hero could easily return in future SSU films.
Venom: The Last Dance has been running since then October 24, 2024 in the cinema.
