Pernilla and Christian’s love story began through a mutual friend, the make-up artist Fanny.
Pernilla was initially hesitant to go on a date with Christian, but after seeing some pictures of him, she changed her mind. They started dating, but Pernilla’s busy work life meant that contact became sporadic. Fortunately, they soon resumed their relationship – and the rest is history, so to speak.
Pernilla had been single for many years before she met Christian. She had a failed marriage behind her Emilio Ingrosso and a relationship with the police Joachim Lennholm. He dumped Pernilla when their son Theo barely had time to turn two, and Pernilla took the breakup very hard.
That she dared to open her heart again was perhaps not entirely obvious – but with Christian, everything just felt right. And easy.
“I love the unfiltered happiness rush I’m in right now. Thankful for daring to open my heart again!”, Pernilla wrote when she made their relationship public.

Christian proposed under romantic circumstances in Sälen, which led to their hasty marriage on 2 December 2023 in an intimate ceremony in Lidingö church, in the presence of close family. The decision to speed up the wedding came after Pernilla’s father His had contracted cancer and Pernilla wanted her father to lead her to the altar before he fell asleep.
After the intimate winter wedding, Pernilla and Christian later got married once again – but this time with all their friends in attendance. It was a thunderous wedding in three days, where over a hundred guests were flown to Marbella.

Christian Bauer’s job – he does that at Ica
But who really is Christian Bauer, the silver fox from Åkersberga who married all of Sweden’s Pernilla Wahlgren?
Christian had a career in sales and marketing at LEWA of Sweden, and had also appeared in commercials, including for Renault. Christian is known for his passion for exercise and recently took part in a tough bike race in the Sahara. He also leads spinning classes at the Sats Sportpalatset gym in Stockholm.
After a year together with Pernilla, Christian got a new job as purchasing manager at Ica, something Pernilla revealed in her podcast.
– Oh, now I’m going to say the truth. Christian, my dear boyfriend, has got a new job. He will work as purchasing manager at Ica. Great fun! He is very happy, Pernilla told the podcast.

– As a buyer, I negotiate to be able to offer the Ica stores the right assortment at the right price, he said in the interview. He also expressed his gratitude to the managers at Ica who dared to employ him despite his age.
– I was employed as a 56-year-old. I think that’s awesome. They hired a grey-haired seasoned man with a lot of work experience. But it is not obvious. So I appreciate that in my employer, that they dared to bet on me and employ someone who is older, he then told The Express.

Christian Bauer’s salary at Ica
Recently, Christian Bauer has also started working as a model for the Norwegian clothing chain Dressmann, where he shared his favorite looks on Instagram. Pernilla was quick to support her husband, commenting “Fiiiin” on his post.
Pernilla Wahlgren is undeniably not struggling financially. According to information from the Swedish Tax Agency, she has assets of over SEK 50 million, and in 2023 she had a taxed earned income of just over seven million kroner.

According to recent data from the Swedish Tax Agency, Christian Bauer had a fixed earned income of SEK 921,800 in 2023. The outcome of twelve months gives Christian Bauer a monthly salary of SEK 76,816.
A real lift compared to 2022 when he had a monthly salary of SEK 60,558.
