Germany says it has invited North Korea’s ambassador for an interview about the country’s support for Russia.

1,500 new soldiers have been sent from North Korea to Russia, South Korean intelligence agencies estimate. This was reported by a South Korean lawmaker Park Sun-won from the intelligence committee of the country’s parliament.

Also the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has confirmed that North Korean troops have arrived in Russia. According to the Washington Post, Austin told reporters that there is no certainty as to the purpose of the troops.

South Korea now estimates the total number of North Korean soldiers in Russia to be 3,000. By December, the number is expected to increase to 10,000.

Secretary General of NATO Mark Rutte last said on Tuesday that he could not confirm whether there were North Korean soldiers in Ukraine.
