Imane Khelif turns pro Sports in a nutshell

Khelif, who got into the middle of the commotion at the Paris Olympics, will no longer be seen at the Olympics.

Winner of Olympic boxing gold in Paris in the women’s 66-kilogram category Imane Khelif goes professional, say e.g. TalkSport, Sporting News and The Sun.

Khelif said at the press conference that he had received many offers from different professional boxing associations.

– I have not yet decided where I will start as a professional. In any case, I will take this step very soon, because we Algerians want to see what we can do at the professional level, Khelif said.

There was a lot of buzz around Khelif at the Olympics, because everyone thought she shouldn’t have competed in the women’s division. The International Boxing Association IBA banned her from last year’s World Championships because, according to the IBA, Khelif did not meet the conditions for participation in the women’s division.

The International Olympic Committee IOC allowed Khelifi to compete in the Paris Olympics. According to the IOC, this was the victim of an arbitrary decision by the IBA.

– The Algerian was born a woman, has lived as a woman, according to his passport he is a woman and he has boxed as a woman, the IOC thundered.

Khelif will no longer be seen at the Olympics, as only amateurs can use their fists in ring competitions.
