10 dogs that really need a new home right now

Every year, hundreds of dogs are relocated in Sweden, and one of the actors that maintains this important work is Hundstallet.

Every day they help and care for dogs, and then give them a new loving home. Some of the dogs at Hundstallet find new owners quickly, but for other individuals it takes longer.

“These dogs have been sitting the longest”

News24 lists ten dogs from Hundstallet who are in particularly great need of a new home – because they have gone the longest without having one.

“These dogs are the ones that have been sitting the longest and where we worked a little longer with rehabilitation and care before the relocation takes place,” writes Johnny Kroneldcommunications and fundraising manager at Hundstallet, in a comment to Nyheter24.

Sasha is looking for a new home Photo: Hundstallet

Information about Sasha:

“Sasha is a soft and kind girl who has developed a lot during her time at Hundstallet. Because she became introverted when she lived in the stable, she has instead been in emergency shelter for most of the time she has been with us.

During the day, she is with a mother on call at the office, which works great, and in her spare time, she joins the stables, something she loves. Indoors, she is calm and likes to lie on the sofa with her head in her human’s lap. At night, she prefers to sleep in bed.”

Ola is looking for a new home Photo: Hundstallet

Information about Ola:

“Ola is a loving, young and cozy guy with fast paws. He likes to have the opportunity to be close and sit on his lap and hug him at regular intervals, as he needs a lot of love and confirmation that he is good as he is. Besides cozy, Ola loves to stroll in the forest and his absolute favorite: swimming!

Ola can be a bit cautious and need time to overcome his fear of new things or places. For example, Ola was terrified of driving when he came to us a few months ago, but after a lot of time, zero pressure, a lot of support and just letting Ola take it at his own pace, he now jumps into the car as if he Loved it from the start!”

Ivar is looking for a new home Photo: Hundstallet

Information about Ivar:

“Here we have a guy who is a mixed breed with a point. Ivar is initially a bit cautious and you need to build up trust before Ivar trusts you, you need to respect him for this and not push yourself. Without Ivar a determined guy who knows what he thinks and wants and the new home will have to adapt to this.

We do not know what Ivar has been through in his life before he ended up with us at Hundstallet. What we can guess is that he has probably not had it so easy, we notice that he is afraid of iron and suspicious of new people and the new home must have knowledge and understanding of this.”

Skorpan is looking for a new home Photo: Hundstallet

Information about the crust:

“Skorpan is a small guy in a big body and with a big heart on his nose! He has had a much too tough start in life, he now wishes to have a safe and stable life, filled with love and fun. How someone has not was able to give this friendly guy the security he deserves, we just can’t fathom. Now it’s really his turn to feel that tenderness he really deserves.

Since little Skorpan’s time in life so far has only been tough, he thinks it’s a bit hard to be alone. He will need a lot of time and understanding around the solitary training.”

Queen is looking for a new home Photo: Hundstallet

Information about Queen:

“Queen or “Queenie” as we like to call her in a silly voice – loves closeness, she wants to be hugged and kissed most of the time. Not against us!

Queen loves to walk in the woods and sniff, she would no doubt have lined up for full days in the woods with her future family. She also very much appreciates going for joint walks with other dogs in the stable, and dog meetings are no problem. However, Queen wants to live as a single dog – where she alone can get all the love and attention she deserves. But she likes a walking buddy or two.”

Ryze hasn’t seen much of the world before he came to the kennel, and so needs his new home to have a large portion of patience and the will to slowly get used to life.

For handsome Ryze, we are looking for a home that has experience with Rottweilers. You also need to understand that he needs security and just enough stimulation for the breed.”
