Province of Utrecht – Jan-Willem van Schip was unable to win a medal on the elimination course at the track cycling world championships in Denmark. The rider from Schalkwijk seemed to be among the last three riders on the Ballerup track, but the jury took him off course due to an irregular action. He is said to have hindered the Portuguese Diogo Narciso.
