Plot: What happens in Season 3 of The Rings of Power?

After season 2 took a darker new direction and put Sauron more in focus, the new season is likely to change the pace of the series again. The series creators already revealed bonus material for episode 8 on Prime *:

East to West and North to South: Anywhere on the entire map [von Mittelerde] Now it’s about what can be done against Sauronto defeat him.

The Elves suffered a major setback in the Battle of Eregion in the Season 2 finale. The dwarves were able to secure their retreat and Elrond and Co. took refuge in newly founded Rivendell found, but Sauron now commands the orc army of the slain Adar and threatens to engulf Middle-earth with war.

The 3 Elven Rings have proven to be good instruments of power in Season 2, but the 7 Dwarven Rings are clouded by greed and have not yet been distributed after the death of King Durin III. The 9 people rings has corrupted Sauron to evil with his black blood in order to control their wielders. Next up is his search for suitable human ring bearers – and the series already has clues about that 9 possible Ringwraith candidates scattered, which could become Nazgûl in season 3. Then we will certainly learn more about the invisible world.

Besides, Sauron has to go next forge the One Ring. With Morgoth’s crown, Feanor’s hammer, Celebrimbor’s blacksmithing knowledge and his blood, he already has the important ingredients for this. Now, according to Tolkien, all he has to do is create the ruler’s ring alone in Mount Doom in Mordor. Sauron actor Charlie Vickers then revealed that he was most looking forward to the fall of Númenor, when his character plunges the island kingdom into chaos before the prophesied flood catastrophe occurs.

And what about the rest of the characters in Season 3 of the Lord of the Rings series?

  • Gandalf must further his training with Tom Bombadil in Rhûn after he prophesied that he would have to face the Dark Wizard and Sauron.
  • The HobbitStaring Tribe sets off on a journey with Nori and Poppy and could unite with the Harfeet to search for the legendary Sûzat (Shire).
  • The one that matured painfully in season 2 Isildur is on the way back to Númenor, where he will first experience his blue miracle with the fallen Míriel, Pharazôn as king and his father Elendil, who has fled.
  • Theo According to a credible theory, he could become the founder of Rohan.
  • Númenor’s colony of Pelargir is supposed to supply timber to Kemen, but there are likely to be problems with the fulfillment of this requirement Ents receive.
  • It is questionable whether the scandalous kiss between Elrond and Galadriel will have any consequences. The Elves In any case, they have to regroup: at the refuges of Lindon, Rivendell and perhaps soon Lothlórien.

  • Although Durin III has declared his son Durin IV as his heir, he announces himself in Khazad-dûm Inheritance dispute among the dwarves when Prince Durin’s brother claims the throne. The still undistributed dwarven rings will certainly play a role in this. And has the danger of the Balrog really been averted (for now)?
  • In the end, after 5 seasons, the Lord of the Rings series will almost certainly be on the Battle of the Last Alliance against Sauron run out. A hidden scene in season 1 hinted at the sometimes tragic end of the finale. With the introduction of prophetic visions through the Elven Rings, we also need to re-evaluate Season 1 scenes with Sauron.
