Six-time Olympic track cycling champion Chris Hoy is suffering from incurable cancer. Scotsman Hoy, 48, told the matter in an interview with the Times newspaper and revealed that doctors have given him 2-4 years to live.

According to the BBC, Hoy revealed that he had known for a year that the cancer was incurable. Britti told about his cancer earlier in February, and at that time he said that the treatments were going well.

Hoy said in the interview that he has prostate cancer that has spread to his bones.

– As unnatural as this may seem, this is nature. We are all born and we all die and this is just part of the process. I remind myself that I’m not lucky to be able to take a drug that will fight this for as long as possible, Hoy said in an interview, according to the BBC.

Hoy won six Olympic golds between 2004 and 2012. Among British Olympic athletes, only track cyclist Jason Kenny has more gold medals (7).
