Hurricane Oscar is approaching Cuba which is suffering from power

Repairs to the power grid that collapsed in Cuba have continued as Hurricane Oscar approaches the island nation.

According to the US National Hurricane Center, Oscar is expected to make landfall on the east coast of Cuba later today, bringing heavy rains with it. Oscar’s storm winds have blown at 39 meters per second.

The predicted arrival of the hurricane just a few days after the collapse of Cuba’s electricity grid increases the pressure in the country even more. Cuba is already struggling with high inflation and suffers from a lack of food, medicine, fuel and water.
