Five people, four men and one woman, from the Gothenburg area are in custody in Finland, SR Ekot reports. They are suspected of serious drug offences.
– They have been clearly linked to drug dealing in the area and that has also generated acts of violence and threats of violence, says Johan Dyre, acting local police area manager in Greater Gothenburg South, to the radio.
The four men are believed to be part of a group from Lindome, outside Gothenburg. Earlier last autumn, a man from Gothenburg was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Helsinki.
– He has set the tone in drug handling, a well-known individual for us, says Dyre.
The Finnish police did not want to comment on the investigations in the two cases. Two of the detainees deny the crime, the others do not want to comment.
