Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump intends to ask media mogul Rupert Murdoch for help in stopping criticism of Trump in the media Murdoch has power over.

Murdoch controls America’s largest cable channel Fox News and the Wall Street Journal and New York Post newspapers, among others.

– I’m going to meet Rupert Murdoch, Trump said during an interview on the Fox News program Fox and Friends.

Murdoch is the only one he can talk to about the matter and the right one to convey the message to, a fairly straightforward and simple one, according to Trump:

– Do not run negative advertising for 21 days (read: until the election), Trump said, referring to advertising critical of himself.

He added that any political opponents or critics of him, terrible people according to Trump, should not be allowed to speak in Murdoch’s media either.

Trump showed great outrage recently over Fox News interviewing Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

Trump said that Rupert Murdoch might not be too happy about their upcoming meeting becoming known.

– But I will say: Rupert, do this and then we will win and I think we all want that, said Trump.
