Biden meets NATO allies in Germany News in brief

President of the United States Joe Biden has started his visit to Germany by meeting the federal president Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin.

Steinmeier received Biden at Bellevue Castle. Biden received Germany’s highest award from him.

Biden has also met with the Chancellor of Germany By Olaf Scholz.

Biden urged Ukraine’s allies to continue their support resolutely. Biden also praised Germany for spending two percent of GDP on defense, which is NATO’s goal. Scholz and Biden are scheduled to discuss, among other things, Iran.

Later, Biden will meet with the French president Emmanuel Macron and the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s.

The men are expected to discuss, above all, the wars in Gaza and Ukraine.
