Aras Kargo updated all cargo vehicles in its Bodrum Center, Turgutreis and Yalıkavak branches with electric models.
The company announced that it started the green district project in Bodrum and said the following: quoted: “Aras Kargo continues to implement new projects by placing sustainability at the center of its activities. The “Green District” project, which Aras Kargo implemented with the motto “we carry to tomorrow” within the scope of its sustainability activities, was started in Bodrum. With this step taken in parallel with the “More Livable Bodrum” mission of Bodrum Municipality, Aras Kargo converted 22 company cargo distribution vehicles in its Bodrum Center, Turgutreis and Yalıkavak branches to electric. Thanks to this first and only step in Turkey, it is aimed to minimize carbon emissions in the district. The introductory meeting of the project, which stands out as an exemplary initiative to popularize sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation throughout Turkey, starting from Bodrum, was attended by Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, Aras Kargo General Manager and Board Member Utku Ayyarkın and Aras Kargo CFO Barbara Hagen, Bodrum Municipality. It was held in Bodrum Kumbahçe Square on Thursday, October 17, with the participation of the Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate, Bodrum Hüseyin Turgut Karabağlı Secondary School teachers and students, and Mis Gibi 1 Bodrum volunteers.

Aras Kargo General Manager and Board Member Utku Ayyarkın, in his speech explaining the company’s sustainability route, said: “As Aras Kargo, today, we knock on more than 1 million doors every day with our 14 regional directorates, 28 transfer centers, a fleet of over 5 thousand vehicles and an employment force of 16 thousand people. Within the scope of the project, we will start to make all cargo distributions in our Bodrum Center, Turgutreis and Yalıkavak branches with our 22 electric company vehicles.
