It was during Thursday evening that an SL train in Knivsta hit a concrete object that was lying on the track. The damage meant that the train could not continue running and the passengers had to get off.
– Someone has deliberately placed a concrete object on the track. We classify the case as sabotage and therefore the police have also been involved, says Karolina Wichman.
What kind of information do you have for travelers?
– The travelers who were on the train and were moved to another train. In addition to that, traffic will be affected during the evening with delays for the SL trains, so you have to keep an eye on the timetable, says Karolina Wichman.
On Thursday evening, the police sent several patrols to the county border in Uppsala County to investigate information about possible sabotage.
– We were involved late in the case and read about it on the Swedish Transport Agency’s website, says Ola Österling, press spokesperson for the Stockholm Police.
