Arcane Season 2 is just around the corner and League of Legends itself will also offer a lot of content for series fans. This also includes a new skin for the popular LoL champion Jinx. It’s once again hidden behind a gacha system and that’s exactly what the community is warning about.
What kind of skin is this? Jinx is now the unofficial face of League of Legends. Since Arcane, many non-players have also known the popular champion. As part of the second season, League of Legends is receiving some new content, including a skin for Jinx, which is also the beginning of a new type of skin: the Exalted skins.
In Jinx’s case, that’s Arcane Fractured Jinx. The skin has multiple shapes with different voice lines. You can change the forms during the match. The sticking point with the skin is the price, because you can’t just buy it.
As Spideraxe revealed on x.com, this skin is only available in a new gacha system. You should pay 400 RP for a pull, which is approximately €3.50. The cheapest value you can buy is 575 RP, which is €5.
The probability of pulling the Jinx skin is 0.5%. If you draw 80 times you are guaranteed to get the skin, which effectively reduces the drop rate to 1.5%. In RP that is 32,000. With the best bundles you get just under €240. This isn’t the first time Riot has tried a new gacha system. Nevertheless, the community is dissatisfied and even warns against it.

What’s the problem? In a Reddit thread, the user warns about the new Exalted skins. For him it’s not even about the expensive price, but about the gambling mechanics. Because according to him, the new skin system is like a slot machine. You pay and have a 1.5% chance of hitting the jackpot.
He sees a problem in the fact that you don’t even see the €240. You see the chance to pull something off. This makes you more inclined to spend money than if you were to pay the high price straight away.
