Sometimes it can get really hot during training when emotions get the better of you. That’s exactly what happened Henrik Lundqvist42, once growing up. The goalkeeper is usually seen as an incredibly likable, humble and friendly person, but every now and then the top cap went off on the former Tre Kronor keeper.
Admitted the blows
Henrik talks about the incident in the North American Bleacher Report’s studio program “Open ice”, which he recently hosted. Then he and the other presenters and experts talked around the table about how things can easily get out of hand if players start arguing in training. Suddenly Lundqvist himself was asked if he couldn’t get angry in training sometimes?
– Yes, you know what? I remember one time when I hit a guy’s visor. I had stopped the puck on the ice with my puck glove but he slammed the puck into the goal and celebrated. Then I turned on his visor, he says and laughs.
The other people are surprised when “Hank” (as he is called in the US) then reveals another detail about the fight. Namely how old he was when it all happened. It turns out that it happened when Henrik was still living in his native Sweden.

– If you look, Patrick, I apologize for the visor.
