While it is currently playable as part of the Stream Next Fest, The Precinct will be released in physical edition thanks to Microids. The French publisher has in fact collaborated with studio Fallen Tree Games Limited and publisher Kwalee to confirm that the game will exist outside of Steam, the PlayStation Store and the Xbox online store. A nice move on the part of Microids who understood the enthusiasm around this title which will allow us to embody the young officer Nick Cordell Jr. in America in the 1980s. His goal will be to establish order and justice, by preventing crime from spreading, knowing that these are generated procedurally, ranging from parking violations to bank robberies. A partnership that makes Microids CEO Stéphane Longeard and Ben Forrester, VP Publishing PC and Consoles at Kwalee happy.
Stéphane Longeard: “We are pleased to announce the creation of this “third-party publishers” department which will allow us to propel our know-how to new players, but also to strengthen relationships with our historic partners. These strategic partnerships demonstrate our ability to collaborate with major players in the sector, thus offering exceptional diversity and quality of games to our audience. We are particularly excited to bring the retail versions of The Precinct to a global audience and to continue to enrich our catalog with iconic titles. »
Ben Forrester : “We are excited to partner with Microids to bring The Precinct to a wider audience. Their expertise in physical distribution aligns perfectly with our vision for the game, and together we are committed to delivering an exceptional gaming experience that will resonate with fans around the world.”
