What is this feature? After the Dynamax function found its way into the game this season, Gigantamax has now also been announced for Pokémon GO. The feature will be introduced into the game as part of the “GOgantic” event.
But the announcement of the new function didn’t exactly make the community jump for joy, as it requires a lot to be able to use it successfully. That’s why we want to know from you: Will you take part?

Big Pokémon, big demands
What are the requirements? In order to successfully participate in the fights, you will need between 10 and 40 trainers. They also all have to take part in the fight locally and cannot fight from a distance, as is possible in many raids using the remote raid passes.
The strength of the Gigantamax monsters will probably be significantly higher than in the previous 3* Dynamax fights like Legios, which have already posed a challenge for some trainers. It will therefore be necessary to level up your Dynamax Pokémon properly and to unlock and strengthen the Dynamax attacks.
Can my Dynamax monsters also trigger Gigantamax? No, unfortunately this is not possible. If you have already caught a Dynamax Charizard, you will not be able to trigger the Gigantamax form on that monster.
Only Pokémon obtained in Gigantamax battles can take on this form.
How can I find Gigantamax battles? When you open the game, you will already see power sources with Dynamax and Gigantamax battles all around you. You can also click on the Pokémon display at the bottom right and go to the Power Source tab. Here you will also see sources of power that are a little further away.
You can also recently use the Campfire app to see where you can find sources of strength.
