According to the latest estimate from the Wall Street Journal published in September 2024 and based on intelligence sources, the war has caused more than a million victims, dead or injured. Among these victims, 80,000 dead and 400,000 injured on the Ukrainian side. Hospitals are overwhelmed, particularly when it comes to treating serious pathologies such as brain damage. The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared that he envisaged the end of the war for 2025. The mobilization and renewal of combatants on the front remains a major problem, and the State seeks to make it acceptable.
