Kuusamo once again showed its toughness in its home hall when it opened volleyball with the victory in the final series of the Women’s Championship League. The next two matches will be played in Kangasala.
Kuusamo opened the volleyball of the women’s championship league with a home victory, but an easy 3–1 (22–25, 26–24, 25–19, 25–18) victory did not come from LP Kangasala. The solution was the extent of Kuusamo’s material, which was especially evident in the finishing of the match and the solution balls.
Kuusamo, who won the regular season, was suddenly forced to chase in the first round, as Kangasala defended the start of the round better and the overall player Ronja Heikkiniemi was difficult for Kuusamo to fight.
Home team passer Jalissa Trotter trusted in his passports To Carlyle Nusbaum and served the balls mostly to him. However, Nusbaum was not in the early stages of the match and made as many as five direct attack errors in the first set. Two of these came to a really bad place, as they finally turned the batch to Kangasala.
In the second installment, the Swedish captain of Kuusamo Linda Andersson took a more role on the field and made his team catch fire. Fabric coach Arttu Keränen made a passer exchange and exchanged a great one in the semi-finals Emmi Jalonen to Katja Kylmäaho. However, Kangasala collapsed during the whole batch and Kuusamo scored two decisive points with attack errors.
Kangasala lost an important player in the final stages of the first round when the national player in the national team Emmi Riikilä injured his ankle. Heikkiniemi’s role grew in the absence of Riikilä, and Kuusamo tried to get his attack weakened by pointing his starting pass to Heikkiniemi.
At the same time as Heikkiniemi’s power was declining, Kuusamo got his own central attack to work and the team gained width for point production, when the winger players also succeeded. Kuusamo was sharper than the visitor, especially in the solution balls of the batch.
In the fourth round, Kangasala managed to snatch a three-point lead in the middle, but as the match progressed, Nusbaum and Julie Lengweiler and Andersson raised their teams first to levels and eventually over. In the match 18 points finishing Nusbaum was honored to hit the last point of the match.
Lengweiler was the best in his team with 19 points, Adeja Lambert finished 12 and Andersson 8 points. LP Kangasala’s number one was Ronja Heikkiniemi with 21 points. Chipper Gabriela Da Silva struck 12 and in the fights again excelled Roosa Laakkonen 8 points.
The championship comes off with four wins. The next two matches will be played in Kangasala next Friday and Saturday.
