EXCLUSIVE the producer of Miraculous reveals what awaits Ladybug in

According to Jérémy Zag, producer of the series, Miraculous will keep its fans in suspense for a very long time. Here are the new characters who will arrive on the screen.

The hit series Miraculous, broadcast on TFOU and produced by Miraculous Corp, is not about to bow out. If you are a parent or if you watch television quite often, you have not been able to miss the phenomenon of Ladybug and her sidekick Cat Noir. This French animated series for children was released in 2015 and has been making waves ever since. It must be said that all the elements come together to seduce and unite young viewers. The plot revolves around two teenagers, Marinette and Adrien, who quietly transform into superheroes to protect the capital, Paris.

Marinette thus becomes Ladybug, a heroine endowed with powers linked to luck, while Adrien becomes Cat Noir, a hero linked to misfortune. Together, they fight the supervillains created by the mysterious Papillon, who seeks to seize their Miraculous, magical jewels that give them their powers. What they don’t know is that they are also in love with each other without knowing their secret identities. The series ultimately mixes action, romance and comedy while exploring themes that resonate with children, such as friendship.

After almost 10 years, five seasons and more than a hundred episodes broadcast on television, the series is far from having said its last word. Indeed, according to Jérémy Zag, producer of Miraculous, whom we were able to interview in Paris this October 8 during the inauguration of the Ladybug statue revisited by the artist Richard Orlinski, the adventures of the famous ladybug and Cat Noir will soon take a whole new turn. “Ladybug will encounter an enemy much more dangerous than Papillon. There will also be five new heroes who will arrive in the Miraculous universe, and they will come from all over the world, notably from Africa, Asia and America This will be broadcast over the next ten years.“, he tells us.

And when we ask him how he explains the success of the series directed by Thomas Astruc (also creator of the main character), he answers that it is thanks to Ladybug who she embodies. “She’s a girl superhero. I think we were the first to do “girl power”. I remember: everyone laughed in my face when I presented it to the TV channels. We launched it, we pushed mountains to make it exist. We really embraced this “girl power” side: it was Ladybug and Cat Noir and not Cat Noir and Ladybug.” he explains to us before adding: “Above all, there is an immense love story at the heart of the adventures of our heroes, a crossover love with dramatic irony and that speaks to everyone and it will always speak to everyone.”
