Urologist Dr. Fernanda Berto and pediatrician Dr. Stephanie Jarrin bring a wealth of experience and expertise to enhancing a commitment to providing high-quality, family-centered patient care to the community, the Chatham-area hospital group said.
“Their skills and dedication to our community’s well-being align perfectly with our goals of the hospital, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they provide in Chatham-Kent,” said Dr. Zeke Milkovic, the health alliance’s acting chief of staff .

“Having friends in common with Dr. Abdi, I heard only good things about both CKHA and the patients in the Chatham-Kent area,” Berto said in a news release. “I’m grateful for the kind welcome by CKHA, and I’m honored to join the team. I will strive to continue providing high-quality urological care.”
Berto is committed to providing urological care in the region and has opened his clinic in the community, sharing office space with fellow urologist Dr. Christopher Langley. She is now welcoming new referrals. Primary care providers seeking urologic care for their patients are encouraged to fax referrals to Berto at (226) 996-1080.
Jarrin earned a bachelor of science in medical radiation science from McMaster University, the CKHA said. Following her degree, she spent six years working as a diagnostic medical sonographer in Toronto before pursuing her doctorate in medicine at the American University of Antigua, which she completed in 2018. Jarrin pursued a three-year residency in pediatrics in Brooklyn, New York and most recently, served as a pediatric critical care medicine fellow at the University of Maryland in Baltimore from 2021 to 2023.

Jarrin moved to Ontario to be closer to her family. With two young daughters and her husband working in London, Chatham-Kent was the ideal location for their family to call home.
“I am committed to bringing a compassionate and patient-centered approach to healthcare. I look forward to combining my expertise with a deep commitment to improving the well-being of every child,” said Jarrin in the release. “I am excited to be part of a team that values collaboration and innovation, striving to provide the highest level of care to the community.”
Jarrin is accepting referrals. Primary care providers are encouraged to fax referrals to (519) 358-1586.
