The German MMORPG Albion Online is still popular on Steam even 7 years after its release. Everyone can use a function that is now coming into play.
What game is it about? The MMORPG Albion Online is one of the most popular MMORPGs on Steam and has been a long-running hit since its release in 2017. The game has been further developed over the years and even broke its own player record in 2024 thanks to new servers.
Another major update in 2024 moved the game somewhat away from its sandbox roots. This should make it easier for new players to find their way into the game. The next content pack for the MMORPG once again affects a core mechanic.

The Horizons update brings good functionality
What core mechanics are changing? While Albion Online is all about the sandbox, there are plenty of areas and activities for PvP players. Fairness seems to be important to the developers, which is why players are still not allowed to customize their menus. All players played with the same HUD layouts.
This is set to change with the new “Horizons” update on October 28, 2024. As the developers announce on their website albiononline.com, players are then allowed to change the size, position and visibility of “almost every HUD element”.
Layouts can also be saved, exported and imported. This way you can also view and use the layouts of professionals.
Some HUD elements also have additional options that you can customize. If you want to always have all buffs displayed directly, you will soon be able to easily do so.
What else will the update bring? The developers show further content of the patch in a video on YouTube. There is also an update on the inventory and the storage box. New functions for sorting are added here. The storage box also includes a compact view that allows you to see more items at a glance.
In addition to the HUD settings, the settings can also be saved in presets. For example, you can increase the graphics when farming and increase the frames per second in PvP.
