One person was charged and 3.6 million illegal cigarettes were seized during a joint forces operation involving provincial police and Ministry of Finance investigators.
The investigation took place in Haldimand and Norfolk counties on Thursday, Oct. 10, said a release from Haldimand County OPP.
An Alberta man was changed with not having a logbook, not having a trip inspection and operating a commercial vehicle without registration.
The accused also faces unspecified Ministry of Finance charges.
The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the OPP West Region Highway Safety Division, the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team and the provincial finance ministry.
