In the second episode of season two, viewers get to meet Veronica and Patrickwho have found their way back to each other after a separation. Now they are looking for a villa where they can live with their two sons, close to Malmö’s city centre.

Their current apartment is becoming too cramped for the family. A contributing factor to the lack of space is Patrik’s Lego hobby. Patrik even has Lego in the toilet. In the future house, he would like to have a Lego room where he can find space for his collection.

The house purchase will be a challenge for the broker Sebastian Stojanovic
The couple’s three requirements for their future house are that it should be energy efficient, have two toilets and that it should be located in the popular area of eastern Malmö. The experts will try to achieve this with the couple’s budget of SEK 4,835,000 million.

This turns out to be a big challenge for the program’s real estate agent Sebastian Stojanovicwhich asks the family to consider buying a townhouse instead. After a lot of back and forth, Sebastian manages to buy a terraced house for the family.

The couple’s disappointment: “It’s very small”
Patrik and Veronica do not know what the new home looks like or where it is located, and when they see the house for the first time, the reactions are anything but satisfied.

They think the kitchen feels too small, the surfaces are not as big as they expected, and they hate the paneling on the walls.

– It is even the case that you could have stayed in the apartment, says a disappointed Patrik.
The couple also think that the bathroom is too small, and Patrik calls it “the devil’s den”.

The couple find the floor plan odd, and they find it difficult to see how the family should be comfortable in the home.
– Right now it might feel very depressing and like a mistake. What have we done? We have left everything in someone else’s hands. The only hope I have is that there will be some silver lining to the whole thing in the end, says Veronica.

“Which is not as spoiled and picky”
Patrik in particular is very disappointed with how the townhouse looks, and the program’s experts are surprised by the couple’s reactions.
– I am very surprised because this is a fantastic house. It is fresh and nice and you could move right in. I would in any case that is not as spoiled and picky, says the decorator Lena Nyman.
