In April last year, Norway said it had expelled 15 officials from the staff of the Russian embassy. According to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the deported officers were Russian intelligence officers who were acting under the cover of diplomatic status.

The Russian embassy in Oslo calls Norway’s decision “another very unfriendly act”.

The Reuters news agency says that a spokesman for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has refused to respond to Reuters’ request for comment on the matter.
