The police were alerted to an address in Espoo, Finland, on Sunday evening. According to information to the newspaper Ilta-Sanomat, the former ice hockey professional Janne Puhakka was found shot in his home.
A close relative is suspected of murder and arrested by the police, the newspaper writes. According to the police, the arrest must have been peaceful.

First openly gay hockey player
Janne Puhakka played, among other things, in the Finnish top league and ended his career in France in the 2017–2018 season.
He also became known as Finland’s first openly gay hockey player.
Janne Puhakka was 29 years old.
