(Finance) – More health, sociability and autonomy, not only inside the tub but also in everyday life: a new season of PITA begins – Therapeutic Intervention Project in Watera, carried out by the association Astrolabe. Another stage – explains the note – of the long-standing collaboration between the association and the Menarin Groupi, which has supported the initiative since 2011.
Also this year, children with autism spectrum disorder and multiple disabilities involved in the newly launched edition of the courses will be able to attend guided and structured activities in an aquatic environment suitable to ensure considerable benefits from a cognitive, motor and social perspective. From enhancing attention and motor skills to reducing hyperactivity, from developing memory skills to improving mood and sociability.
Last year PITA recorded an increase of 42 children, for a total of 200 children aged two and over followed on the four days a week when lessons are held. Alongside the summer activities – with a more sporting focus -, the work of the Astrolabe operators takes place mainly from October to May, according to the rhythms of the school routine. For each user there are individual lessons lasting approximately 40 minutes and the experience of a multidisciplinary team made up of specialized professionals, including neuropsychomotor specialists, pedagogists, psychologists, coaches and lifeguards.
