Four people died in France in an electric car fire | News in brief

In France, four people have died after an electric car caught fire, prosecutors said on Sunday.

The accident happened on Saturday, when a Tesla brand electric car caught fire near the city of Niorti in the western part of the country.

According to the police, the driver and the three passengers on board were dead when the rescue personnel arrived.

Billionaire Elon Musk’s founded by Tesla has repeatedly been the subject of investigations due to the safety of cars. Last December, for example, the company recalled more than two million cars in the United States and Canada due to the increased risk of collisions caused by their software.
