There is currently a lot of content in Pokémon GO that is waiting for trainers. The perfect time to start playing the game again, says MeinMMO author Paul Kutzner.
Pokémon GO has many different aspects to offer trainers. No matter whether your focus is more on collecting or fighting, there is something for every trainer.
Especially currently and recently, the game offers some innovations and a lot of content to keep the trainers interested in playing. And I think that’s really good.

New features, new monsters, new shinys
What new feature is in Pokémon GO? The current season “Max Out” focuses primarily on a new feature: the Dynamax function. This is a new mode that allows trainers to fight and encourages them to collect Dyna versions of their previous monsters.
Even if this feature doesn’t really appeal to me personally, it is an enrichment for Pokémon GO and can offer trainers a refreshing change from which they can also receive rewards.
Which feature is coming soon? A new feature was also announced before the new season, which will find its way into the game this month: Morpeko’s shape change.
It is possible for a Pokémon to change form during the battle against Rockets and in the Battle League by using its charging attack and thus receive a different attack.
This ability sounds promising and could bring additional excitement, especially in Battle League battles.
A new, big event: On November 23rd and 24th, 2024 there will be a big event for the first time, which will take place alongside the GO Tour and the GO Fest. This is the “Wild Area”.
In addition to some strong attackers and the return of Dialga and Palkia in their original forms, there will also be a new type of Pokémon here: “Powerful Pokémon”. These are monsters that appear in their final stage of development and also have a higher chance of having good IV values and appearing as XL or XXL specimens.
Since I personally like the other two big annual events in Pokémon GO and, like many other trainers, am always looking for reinforcements for my raid teams, this event could be really worthwhile.
And even without buying a ticket, there is really strong content here.
Strong Cryptos at Team GO Rocket: With the start of the “Galar Expedition: Takeover,” the Pokémon that Team GO Rocket travels with have also changed. And there are currently some really strong monsters there.
Not only the bullies from Team GO Rocket have some good monsters with them, but Giovanni can also be seen with Crypto-Heatran. And the other Rocket bosses also currently have very worthwhile Pokémon with them that can be a strong addition.
This not only makes it fun to defeat the villains from Team GO Rocket again, but it’s also worth adding one or two strong Pokémon to your collection.
Lots of new shinys: Collectors could and can currently get their money’s worth in Pokémon GO. In the period from October 4th to 12th, 2024 alone, 6 new shiny Pokémon appeared in the game. If you count Strawickl’s 2 developments, there are even 8.
A special highlight for many trainers will be the debut of the 3 Galar birds as shiny, which can now be attracted using the daily adventure smoke.
This not only means there are strong Pokémon for the fighting faction in the game, but passionate collectors also get new content.
Overall, there is currently so much interesting content in Pokémon GO that every trainer should get their money’s worth. And returnees probably have the optimal time to start the game again.
