    Police in Portland stopped a suspected stolen car and found a bag with the motif “Definitely not a bag full of drugs”.

    It was full of drugs.

    At least ten grams of fentanyl and methamphetamine were found. But also a gun and a lot of money.

    “The driver and the passenger have been taken into custody – suspected of more crimes,” the Portland police write on X.

  • Rape in central Karlstad

    On the night of Sunday, there was a rape in central Karlstad.

    A woman in her twenties has been assaulted by an unknown perpetrator.

    The police are investigating the crime and have carried out securing evidence, interrogations, crime scene investigations and other gathering of information.

    At present, no one has been arrested on suspicion of the crime.

    The police were alerted at 03:24 on the night of Sunday and the rape took place in the district of Klara, along the river at the height of Regementsgatan.

    Now the police want to get tips from any witnesses.

    “The police want to get in touch with witnesses who may have made observations in the area in the time span between 03 and 04 this morning (Sunday). Tips and observations are given to the police on phone 114 14, enter “tips” in the voicemail for quick connection to the operator,” the police write on their website.

  • Operation south of Stockholm – body found in water

    A body has been found in water south of Stockholm.

    Police and emergency services were called to the scene on Sunday afternoon, where an operation is now underway.

    According to the rescue service, it was a passerby who raised the alarm after seeing something they suspected was a lifeless person in the water.

  • SpaceX prepares for launch and landing of “Starship”

    SpaceX, founded by Elon Musk, is now conducting its fifth test flight of the rocket “Starship” in Texas.

    The 121-meter high rocket is the world’s most powerful and will be launched at 2:25 p.m. Swedish time, reports New York Times.

    The “Starship” consists of two parts: a booster and an upper section that can carry cargo or astronauts to orbit.

    During the test, the launch tower’s mechanical arms, so-called “chopsticks”, will try to catch the rocket’s booster, which would be an important milestone for SpaceX’s goal of rapid reuse of rockets, future lunar missions and Mars expeditions.

  • Big problems with payment when refueling

    ST1’s and Shell’s gas stations have major problems with their payment systems. This means that it is not possible to pay by credit card to refuel.

    – Right now it is not possible to pay by card. Unfortunately, this applies to all stations in Sweden that have this problem, says Faisal Ouahid, press spokesperson at ST1.

    The technical problem has continued throughout Sunday.

    There is currently no forecast for when the problem may be resolved.

    – Work is being done from all sides and corners to be able to get everything up and running again as quickly as possible, says Faisal Ouahid.

  • Netanyahu calls on UN peacekeepers to leave Lebanon

    Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calls on the United Nations to immediately evacuate its peacekeeping forces from the fighting areas in Lebanon, reports the Reuters news agency.

    Netanyahu says the Israeli military has repeatedly called on the United Nations to withdraw the troops. He adds that their presence in Lebanon makes them hostages of Hezbollah.

  • Woman stabbed – two arrested

    A woman has been stabbed indoors in a home in Nykvarn. The alarm was received by the police at 07:28.

    – She is not supposed to be life-threateningly injured, but had to go to hospital by ambulance, says Anna Westberg, press spokesperson at the police.

    A man and a woman, both aged 35, were arrested shortly afterwards in connection with the home.

    – All three know each other, says Anna Westberg.

    The police have carried out several investigative measures.

    – Among other things, we are holding interviews with people who can conceivably move the investigation forward. We will talk to the victim, the arrestees and potential witnesses.

    A preliminary investigation into serious assault has been launched.

  • Children were abused with affection – man arrested

    A man in his 30s has been arrested and later arrested after a suspected child abuse in a residence in Värnamo municipality.

    The police were called to the address at 05:00 on Sunday morning. The whole thing must have started with a fight between three people, the child included.

    The people have a relationship with each other.

  • Sound problems for TV4 – switching to commercials

    In the middle of an interview with hockey player Mats Sundin and his children on TV4 Nyhetsmorgon, the sound suddenly disappears.

    The channel then quickly switches to commercials and once back, presenter Jenny Alversjö explains that they had technical problems.

    – We have had some technical problems with our sound desk, she says and continues:

    – We’ll see how we solve this sound problem.

    Just a short while later, the program is interrupted again with the text: “Technical problems: The broadcast will resume shortly”.

    After several minutes, the program could continue.

  • Blocked off area in Karlstad after violent crime

    During the night to Sunday, the police cordoned off an area in central Karlstad after a serious violent crime was reported.

    No one has been arrested at this time and an investigation is ongoing.

  • Attack aircraft shot down by Ukrainian forces

    A Russian attack aircraft, Sukhoi Su-34, was shot down by a Ukrainian F-16 Fighting Falcon on Saturday, reports Forbes.

    The data comes from the popular Telegram channel said to be run by a former Russian military pilot.

    The Russian Ministry of Defense has not made an official statement about the loss, and the Ukrainian authorities have not commented on the incident either.

    However, other pro-Russian Telegram channels claim that the plane was shot down about 50 kilometers from the front line and that the Russian pilot was killed.

  • Suspicious object – bomb disposal was called

    Residents in Hästveda in Hässleholm reacted during the night to an object that was next to a car.

    When the police, who were alerted shortly after 3 a.m., arrived at the scene, they could not determine whether it was a dangerous object or not.

    – We have cordoned off the area while waiting for the national bomb disposal team to check the object, says Katarina Rusin, press spokesperson at the police.

    – We have also accommodated a number of residents because the site is adjacent to a multi-family building.

    At 08:30 the bomb shelters were ready at the site and the cordons could be lifted. The item has been seized for further examination.

    A notification of attempted destruction of public danger has been drawn up.

  • Indian politician murdered

    Indian politician Baba Siddique was shot dead on Saturday night in Mumbai, reports Times of India.

    The incident occurred outside his son’s office in the city.

    The shooting was carried out by three men and the police, who suspect that it is a contract killing, have formed four special teams to investigate the case, write NDTV.

    Two of those arrested claim to belong to the Lawrence Bishnoi criminal gang, according to police sources.
