(Finance) – The extension of the terms of the preventive agreement cannot be done. The date remains iOctober 31st. This was said by the Deputy Minister of Economy, Maurizio Leo, interviewed on the sidelines of the Fdi economic event in Milan. Yesterday the accountants asked for urgent intervention to grant all parties involved in the two-year composition with creditors a deferral of both the October 31st deadline for acceptance of the proposal and the deadline for submitting the declarations.
“The ministry, the Revenue Agency and Sogei have carried out a very important operation because on the 14th the reconstruction of all incomes, of everything they should pay, will be made available to all taxpayers in their tax boxes” , Leo explained. “The extension of the deadlines cannot be done because the budget law must be approved and all the certain and clear data must be available by October 31st. This is the reason why technically the extension cannot be done, because – concluded Leo – everything is linked to the timing of the presentation of the budget law to the Council of Ministers and its approval in the parliamentary phases, this is the reason why that date unfortunately must remain firm.”
On cuts to local authorities – “There will certainly be a dialogue, because Minister Giorgetti and the government have always dialogued both with the ministries, where the cuts will also be evaluated with them, and with the local authorities. It is always a discussion that will have to be had but in a collaborative and dialogue form“.
