A man has been seriously injured in a parachute accident in Västerås.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance, according to the police.
The accident occurred at the Johannisberg airfield in connection with the parachutist’s landing.
– He would do a special landing where you slide along the ground at high speed. But instead he went straight down the hill after the parachute was released, Mats Länn, RLC commander at the police in Region Mitt.
Ambulance, emergency services and the police were called to the scene of the accident at 14.50.
The police currently do not suspect any crime, and are treating the matter as an accident.
