– The purpose of the temporary internal border control is to give the police a little more tools in border control, says Tone Vangen at the Norwegian Police Directorate to NTB.
The border controls initially apply until 12 noon on October 22. It will not involve physical control of all travelers and border crossings and is therefore believed to take no longer than before, according to NTB.
