(Finance) – The 61st edition of TTG Travel Experience and the second edition of Inout | The Contract Community, organized by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG)ended with a record increase in attendance: +9% compared to 2023with a 15% increase in foreign visitors. The fair hosted 2,700 exhibiting brands, 1,000 international buyers and 55 start-upsconfirming the centrality of the tourism sector for the Italian economy. During the event, which he saw 18,000 business meetingsthe topic of “truth” in tourism was the focus of the debates.

The main theme, “TRUTH“, was the focus of 200 events and discussions, highlighting the need for an authentic narrative of tourism based on reliable data and market analysis, countering fake news and misleading reviews.

The fair attracted 1,000 buyers from 62 countries, with a growing international presence, including 66 foreign destinations. Italy, with all its 20 regions present, has established itself as the favorite destination for villages, cities of art and cycle tourism.

The market of luxury tourism in Italy is booming, with a annual turnover of 30.5 billion euros. The fair hosted the Luxury Event by TTGwhich recorded great participation with 1,400 business meetings. With 55 start-ups present in TTG NEXT, the event has created a true Innovation District for tourism, exploring new trends in technology, mobility and hospitality.

At the inauguration the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè remarked the fundamental role of tourism as a fundamental pillar for the growth of the nation and that of TTG as a reference event in Italy for the global promotion of the sector.
