(Finance) – American consumer confidence is expected to worsen in October. According to preliminary data fromUniversity of Michiganconsumer sentiment is estimated to have fallen to 68.9 points compared to 70.1 points in September and against a rise of up to 70.9 points estimated by analysts.
In the same period the index on the present situation fell to 62.7 points from 63.3 (expectations were for 64.3 points), while the index on expectations fell to 72.9 points from the previous 74.4 ( the consensus was 75 points).
