Peo Thyrén is married to his wife Lotta Thyrén. They met at a gig in Småland when she was in the audience, and Peo must have known immediately that she was the woman in his life.
– I apparently told someone in the band that she was the one I was going to marry, he has told Happened.
Together they have four children: Ted, Magdalena, Zacharias and Luke.

Peo Thyrén is one of the participants in So much better 2024, where he is joined by, among others Arja Saijonmaa, The dredge and Kerstin Ljungström.
He has been living as a Christian man for many years, and his faith came up several times during the TV4 recording, he says in an interview with The world today.
– I got a lot of questions about it, then you don’t know what will be included in the program in the end, but I will be surprised if it is not included. Even privately off camera, it came up where someone wanted to know more about my faith or asked what the cross I have means.
Before the program, he thought a lot about how he would deal with the possible questions about his religion. He was happy to talk about it, but in a natural way.

Peo Thyrén: “I surrendered to Jesus”
In another interview with the World Today from 2019, he has told more about his salvation experience, which came as a real shock to the band members of Sha-Boom in 1989.
– I came to a point where I decided to surrender to Jesus. I felt like I was living a double life and really didn’t feel good about it. Singing hymns in church one day and trying to live a rock star life the next.
He became involved in the Södermalm church, which had a close association with Lifets ord. In 1990, he went to the church’s Bible school – and now, 25 years later, he is very secure in his faith.
– For me, God is the basis for family, relationships – yes, everything to work. I can trust him, he tells her The world today.
Is Peo Thyrén politically active?
In the years after Peo Thyrén was saved, he got a lot involved politically in KDU and at the municipal level in his home municipality of Värmdö.
He stopped being politically active after the election in 1994. In the years before that, he had been involved in uncovering a potential grant fraud within KDU, and had himself been dismissed as ombudsman.
SD rumors linked to Noice – Peo Thyrén’s answer
There were also headlines about Noice and the Sweden Democrats before the 2014 election, when Dagens Industri published the information that the group would play at SD’s election vigil.
Thyrén could deny that, and stated that the group never plays at political events.
– I own the band Noice, we have two original members left and I can firmly deny the information. There is no truth whatsoever in this. We have not received any request and we do not play in political contexts, he said then The evening paper.
Instead, he thought it was “some kind of tribute band”:
– There are bands that dress up as us and play our songs. That we should play, however, is totally wrong, said Peo Thyrén.
