Northvolt CEO Peter Carlsson: “Will pay taxes according to plan”

This week, SVT reported that the struggling battery factory must pay SEK 287 million to the Tax Agency by October 14 at the latest.

If Northvolt cannot pay its taxes on time, the company must be declared bankrupt, otherwise the people in the management risk becoming personally responsible for payment.

The amount of over a quarter of a billion kroner is for the six largest companies in the group. The largest items are VAT, SEK 82 million, employer contributions, SEK 106 million and deducted tax, SEK 93 million.

Northvolt’s CEO Peter Carlsson has not appeared for an interview regarding this before. He now writes in an email to SVT that the company will pay all taxes according to plan.
