Epic Games has now postponed the server down to Saturday. This starts at 8:00 a.m. German time. So you can still start enough BR rounds today before the plug is pulled. We are therefore ending the live ticker for today. (via x.com)

According to Epic Games, the server down will be delayed by a few hours. This means that the starting time of 10 a.m. no longer applies. It is not known when the downtime will actually start. (via x.com)
What happens with patch 31.40? Tomorrow Epic Games will shut down the servers for maintenance. You won’t be able to play Fortnite during the downtime, so be prepared.
According to teasers and leaks, a big update regarding the “Fortnitemares 2024” event is being rolled out. New skins, weapons and event files could be released to coincide with Halloween.

Fortnite: Start and duration from server down
Server down in the morning – this is what you need to know: Epic Games has announced its server down for Fortnite and has set it at 8:00 a.m. German time. Matchmaking is deactivated 30 minutes before the servers are switched off – so you can no longer start new rounds during this time.
When will the servers be online again? This depends on the size and scope of the update. If there are no complications, you can expect a two-hour downtime. But it could also be that the server down wasn’t completed until around 1:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. We will keep you updated in this case.
When are the patch notes coming? Epic Games is currently only releasing its patch notes for the “Battle Royale” mode sporadically. If they exist, they will only be published after the downtime. We’ll list the patch notes as soon as Epic Games makes them available.
