The government wants to map the values of new arrivals in an annual integration barometer. Two million kroner has been set aside in the budget, writes Aftonbladet.
The aim is to identify what deviates from “liberal democratic values”, says Integration Minister Mats Persson.
– In Sweden, we are proud of women’s rights. Or the view of homosexuals. It has been a struggle, but now we see tendencies towards forces that want to oppose it. Then we also need to get a picture of what reality looks like, he tells the newspaper.
The idea is that those who answer the questions in the survey should be anonymous and the answers should therefore not be able to be linked to individual individuals.
It has not yet been decided which authority will do the mapping work, which will begin next year.
