FT journalist: Why European gangs carry out missions for Iran: Seen a trend

According to information provided to SVT, Iran is pressuring the main rivals in the Foxtrot conflict, Rawa Majid and Ismail Abdo, to carry out acts of violence in Europe. Among other things, targets are stated to be “everything connected to Israel – synagogues, embassies, diplomats”.

This type of call is not unique to Sweden, but something Iran has used for a long time, including in the United States. That’s what Miles Johnson, investigative journalist at the Financial Times newspaper, says in Aktuellt.

– This means lower costs, lower risk, and if someone is caught, that person can be replaced.

With many intermediaries involved, it is difficult for the police to connect the acts of violence to the country and the regime.

– These advantages mean that we have seen something of a trend among some regimes to “outsource” this type of activity, says Miles Johnson.
