Three charged one sought after 10K break in Lambton OPP

Officers charged three people and are seeking a fourth after a $10,000 break-in in Dawn-Euphemia Township early Monday, provincial police say.

Four people in a pickup arrived at Florence Road business about 4:30 am, smashed a front window and made off with about $10,000 in power tools, Lambton OPP said.

Three people fled on foot after a suspect vehicle was located by OPP officers a short time later at a Jane Street address in Thamesville, OPP said. Investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen in Strathroy.

With help from OPP dog and emergency response teams and Chatham-Kent police officers, three suspects were arrested without incident, OPP said.

A man, 42, and woman, 38, both of Chatham, and a Moravian First Nation man, 41, are charged with breaking and entering to commit an unspeakable offense and possessing property obtained by a crime valued at more than $5,000, OPP said.

The Moravian man also is charged with failing to comply with a release order, police said. He was held pending a bail hearing

The Chatham pair were released with a Nov. 4 court date in Sarnia. police said.

OPP is asking the public’s help identifying the fourth suspect, described as five-foot-five to five-foot-seven, of average build and last seen wearing a light colored hoodie and dark running shoes.
