Now SVT expert Alhaji Jeng reveals how high “Mondo” can jump.
The outdoor season for the track and field athletes is over and the Swedish world star Armand Duplantis can sum up an absolutely fantastic year. Another season in which he exceeded all expectations and collected gold medals on an assembly line and piled up world records.
Duplanti’s success
In 2024 alone, “Mondo” has broken three world records and raised its record height to an incredible 6.26 meters. In addition, there was WC indoor gold, Olympic gold in Paris and overall victory in the Diamond League for the fourth year in a row.

He is better than ever and only 24 years old so far. The career will most likely reach greater heights in the future.
– It feels like I’m better at pole vaulting than I was before. I have a better feeling with the pole, better control of my body and am a little more professional than I was before, he says in a new SVT program.
Jeng admits
To date, there have been 10 world records in Duplantis’ career and he has raised the bar from 6.17 meters to 6.26 meters in just four years. The SVT expert Alhaji Jeng is fully convinced that so many more world records await during the continuation of the pole vault star’s career.

Now the expert and former pole vaulter admits how dizzyingly high he thinks Mondo can reach.
– I see no end to how high Armand Duplantis can jump. As a rule, you “peak” somewhere between the ages of 26-30. If he stays injury-free, I don’t see 6.40 meters as an impossibility, says Jeng in the TV program.
