  • Explosion in electric scooter battery

    An explosion has occurred in an apartment in Örebro on Wednesday evening.

    – Initial information is that it is some kind of battery for an electric scooter that has exploded. So we don’t suspect any crime at the moment, but that could of course change, says Gabriel Henning, press spokesperson at the police.

    A fire broke out in connection with the explosion and there are shards of glass at the scene. One person has gotten out of the apartment, he is supposed to be awake and talkative, but otherwise the state of the damage is unclear.

    The police have cordoned off the scene and are assisting the emergency services.
