The last time the name Alien Isolation 2 was mentioned was in 2019 and it was to tell us not to hope too much about its existence. We are 5 years later, things have evolved and the good news has arrived through official voices, since SEGA and The Creative Assembly have just confirmed that development has been launched. The announcement date was not chosen at random since it corresponds to the 10th anniversary of the first Alien Isolation. We do not know if it is the resurgence of the franchise with in particular the success of the last Alien film Romulus which has galvanized the English studio, but creative director Al Hope is particularly happy to work on the license again and thanks the players for the support unwavering over the past ten years.
“On the occasion of this tenth anniversary, it seems appropriate to let you know that we have heard your distress calls loud and clear. Today, I’m excited to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to Alien: Isolation is in development. We look forward to sharing more details with you as soon as we are ready. Once again, thank you. See you next time. »
It’s actually quite surprising that a sequel can finally see the light of day, since the sales of the first episode were insufficient (2.1 million copies sold), but we imagine that SEGA and the studio will put all their chances on their side to sell it correctly. Now, we will have to be patient because production has only just started.
