The incident took place in August in Malmö. Two men approached a young man at his workplace and asked him to get into a car.
There came the demand.
– In the car, he told me that there was a price on my head of SEK 80,000. The price was set
because I had raped a girl. What he said is not true at all, it’s just something
which he made up to be able to pressure me for money. He has done similar things to
others earlier, says the victim in questioning with the police.
“Making whorehouses”
The duo in the car further said that there were people around the corner who were ready to “set off fireworks and have whorehouses” with the man and after the plaintiff said he did not want to pay, it was stated on the phone with a female third party that “he don’t want to pay, just drive ahead”.
– Everything he told me and threatened was made up, but I still bargained down 40,000 kroner to 15,000 kroner and then agreed to pay, says the victim in questioning.
After he paid the duo, the young man left the scene – but it wasn’t to end there.
Appeared again
The day after the extortion, the two men and a woman appeared outside the victim’s home in Vellinge municipality. They asked the young man why he had told his cousin about what “happened the day before” and threatened to lose his fingers because he had lashed out.
The trio took his phone, before dragging him towards a car parked nearby. On the way to the car, the perpetrators strangled the man by the neck and delivered several punches and kicks to his body, according to the indictment.
When everyone was inside the car, the driver started driving. At one point, one of the perpetrators allegedly let go of his hold on the victim, who was then able to open the car door, jump out and escape from there.
The two men are now indicted, suspected of extortion. Together with the woman, they are also charged with kidnapping. One of the men is also charged with drug offences.
All deny wrongdoing.
