Frida is 24 years old and lives in Helsingborg. Five years ago, Frida had a good economy and was saving for the future, but suddenly everything went wrong.
In 2019, Frida injured her knee, and was also in a relationship she felt bad about. This led Frida to start gambling, and was drawn deeper and deeper into addiction. Frida gambled away all her savings and then started taking out loans to be able to gamble even more.

Frida has wasted all the money: “I’m ashamed”
As a temporary solution, Frida has now moved home with her parents, because her entire salary is used to pay off her loans.

Frida from Helsingborg gets help in Lyxfällan
In the 35th season of Lyxfällan goes Magnus Hedberg home to Frida in Helsingborg, to help her with the finances.
Before Frida started playing, she had managed to collect 80,000 kroner, but it wasn’t long before the entire amount was gone. In one and the same evening, Frida took out three quick loans, hoping to win back the money she had lost. Frida estimates that she currently has approximately half a million kroner in loans, which are basically pure gambling debts.

The Lyxfällan participant gets back 46,900 every month: “Something in the horse way”
Frida has now lost control over the finances and needs urgent help, and to give her a better overview, Magnus Hedberg pulls out the budget board.
Frida has an income of 28,700, but because of her gambling, the other category stands out considerably. Every month, Frida spends SEK 46,800 on games and casinos, among other things. At the same time, the loan category costs her 18,800 kroner, which means that Frida goes back a full 46,900 every month.

Frida played for 400,000 in just one month: “Gets anxiety”
To demonstrate how much money Frida has actually lost from her gambling, Magnus Hedberg arranges “debt bingo” with Frida and her mother. Here it is clear that Frida’s total debt is just over SEK 570,000. It also appears that Frida, during one month, gambled for almost 400,000 kroner.

Frida has won a total of SEK 933,000, but she has also entered with large sums of money. In the last year alone, she has invested a total of SEK 1,422,000.
– I think it’s sick. I am ashamed and I get anxiety. I think I have behaved disgustingly, both towards myself and towards everyone around me, says Frida.
